There is a place for books from small and independent publishers on the shelves of Borders and Waldenbooks stores. From our viewpoint, if a book is meant for the general trade market, we will review it and consider it for placement in our stores.

Submitting Titles for Placement in Store Inventory
If you would like your book considered for stock selection in a Borders or Waldenbooks store, please send a copy of the book (no manuscripts please) along with the Product Submission Form (PDF) to the address below. We cannot consider submissions that do not include the form. Send your book along with the form to:

Your submission will be reviewed by our buyers and considered for placement in our stores or listing for customer special orders.

A Few Notes on Submitting Your Books:

• Your use of a distributor or wholesaler factors into our decision on whether or not we will carry an item. There are supply chain efficiencies to be gained by both the publisher and retailers when wholesalers and distributors are used. • Items submitted will not be returned
• Submissions will only be acknowledged if the buyer wishes to purchase and we cannot source it through a vendor we currently trade with.

General information on the topic of book writing and getting published can be found in any one of our store locations. We carry a wide variety of reference materials on the subject. You can also check out www.pma-online.org for more information on those topics.

CDs and DVDs
We prefer to purchase small and independent music labels as well as independent DVDs through AEC or Baker & Taylor. You will need to establish distribution through them. As such we do not accept submissions of CDs and DVDs. Contact information for AEC and Baker & Taylor can be found in the Suggested Wholesalers & Distributors list.

Magazines
All new magazine publishers should submit their request to Borders' newsstand vendor, Source Interlink. Source Interlink, on Borders' behalf, compiles new title submissions and presents the submissions to Borders' newsstand buyer in a standardized format.

If you would like your product stocked in a Borders, Borders Express or Waldenbooks store, please send two samples of each item along with the Product Submission Form. We cannot consider submissions that do not include the form. Send your samples along with the form to:

We will not respond to inquiries concerning whether your submission has arrived, therefore, we recommend you submit your samples using a method that you can track. Submissions of all types are considered samples and will not be returned.

The Borders.com product catalog has been built using product information from several data providers.

Adding Products
For an item to be listed on Borders.com, it needs to be listed in with either Books in Print (for books) or All Music Guide (for music & DVD), and also be available for purchase through Baker & Taylor.
